Using a metal tape measure or a wooden yardstick, measure the width of the window area you would like to cover, typically from bracket to bracket.
Order lace panels that are about 12 to 24 inches wider than your window area - this will allow the lace pattern to show. If the lace panel is a little wider than this, that’s fine, it will just have more fullness at your window.

"I ordered these to replace 25 year old Country Curtain lace curtains. They weren't exactly the same, they're prettier. I think the old ones had cotton and these are all polyester, so they should last even longer. They're a close enough match, people shouldn't notice that they aren't the same as the other 2 rooms, which I'll be replacing as they disintegrate in the wash. The ones protected from the sun by a porch are the ones holding up."
