"The detail work on this lamp is beautiful as is the color of the metal.......not a "hard" look at all. Light with just one bulb is adequate and with two is more than enough to light the better part of a room. Found that an incandescent bulb is too close to the shade for comfort......used flourescent bulbs instead. Light is uniform even if using only one bulb. Shade and proportions of lamp are excellent."
