"I am disappointed in the fabric. The curtains are great when you first hang them. However, after washing them according to directions- cold water and hang to dry-, they had shrunk by several inches! The curtain rod had to be lowered in order for the curtains to be hung at the corrected length. Being a seamstress, I know, fabric should be preshrunk. Next time I*ll make my them myself. "
"I just received my order of the diamond band drapes and valances. They look very nice, but I was really disappointed to see that the country curtains were actually made in CHINA. So sad."
"I replaced the new and unacceptable quality pointed lace valances with these Diamond Band ones. I appreciated the all cotton quality of the fabric and love the look on my mud room door and laundry room window. But, reading the reviews of the shrinkage when washed, I'm now worried that my pleasure will be short-lived. What on earth has happened to Country Curtacins?"
"I bought a pair of the Diamond Band curtains three years ago which are beautiful. About six months ago I purchased another pair and was shocked at the difference in quality. The fabric is thinner, and the diamond band is no longer of good quality. It is now a cheap version of the original. I contacted customer service, and they had the nerve to tell me the curtains are exactly the same as always. As a long time customer and someone who does a lot of decorating this was insulting."
"The workmanship is good, but the fabric is not preshrunk, and for this price, it should be. Thinking the curtains to be of a quality deserving of the cost, I also washed the curtains--on gentle, cool, and then put them in the dryer on the gentle, low setting for a brief period of time, just to shake out the wrinkles--the way I wash all of my gentle items. The curtains shrank by 2-3 inches. At this price, this is inexcusable. I have not (yet) returned the curtains, though I may still."
