  • How to Measure information
  • Measuring & Selection Tips videos
  • Using a metal tape measure or a wooden yardstick, measure the width of the window area you would like to cover, typically from bracket to bracket
  • For proper fullness, order curtains that are approximately one and a half times to double the width of the window area you would like to cover.
  • For even wider windows, choose an extra pair of regular width curtains/panels.

To achieve the look shown in the main image we used the following item(s):

  • Blackout Rod Pocket Curtains
  • Sheffield Adjustable Rod
  • Sheffield Pineapple Finials
  • Sheffield Quiet Clip Rings
  • Please note: the picutre shown here, we’ve used these Blackout Curtains with a Rod and Clip Rings. Another option is to use the Rod Pocket (which measures 1-1/2") on these curtains.

Q: I've bought these curtains only to find they're very stiff and don't "drape" much. My windows are only 36" wide, compounding the issue. Will they soften with washing and ironing, enough to work in this width? Thanks.

Q: I want these curtains in the 84" and used with the Sheffield rod, clips, and layering rod for sheers underneath. Will this work? At what height from the ceiling do I mount the brackets? I have 8' ceilings.

Q: Does the length include the 1.5inch header and the 1.5inch rod pocket? For example, if I bought the 63inch length curtain, would the curtain measure exactly 63inches if I laid it out flat and measured it.

"More industrial-feeling that I expected. They black out the light really well, but I wanted more of a fabric feel that the black out feature. Very stiff."

"I would have rated this curtain one star while ironing out the folds. The two pair that I purchased must have been at the bottom of the bin. Finally, I discovered that a damp press cloth on the back side (an absolute no-no) & then a hot iron & very damp press cloth on the right side did the trick. Now that the curtains are hung, they deserve 5 stars. Natural color blocks ALL daylight & they look very nice at the bedroom windows."

"My curtains did not come looking ironed nor did a light steaming get the wrinkles out especially in the corner folds. Very difficult to iron. They also don't slide easily on a rod. It was a fight. I'm guessing that's why they're shown with rings. I really hate them but they're on the windows while I wait for the rings I ordered. Another expense. I should have ordered the tab top but who knew. "Stunning looking drape that is also highly functional. It cuts down 90% of noise, light & drafts & is so classy & elegant looking in its drape. Beautiful material; all I did was lightly steam iron it and then hung it up! I used the gorgeous antique gold clips & gold rod you sold me. LOVE THESE DRAPES"
