Q: Why do pinch pleat curtains need to be 12 inches wider than the window? For sake of economy, can it be less, and still cover well enough on a very long window (93 1/2 inches glass of window alone and 98 1/2 from bracket to bracket )?

"These just arrived today and I'm very happy with the quality of curtain - it's a nice, heavy cotton and the lining means they are not sheer at all. The curtains are much, much nicer looking than what you find in most stores."

"I am measuring now to order these for my daughter's room as we were so pleased."

"Color is fine, hems are fine. Very thin material so they hang cheaply. No nice pleats."
"The curtains arrived in a very timely manner. The color was exactly what I had expected and looks good at my window. The disappointment came when I realized that both panels are pieced instead of being one piece of fabric. I had to steam press this seam to get them to lay correctly. They are doing a good job of keeping out the hot afternoon sun and have made a great difference in the temperature of the room and the cost of the electric bill."
