Q: With "main" curtain in place, will add-a-rod curtain rest HIGHER than it? None of your images show real world application. Concerned add-a-rod back curtain rod will be above front curtain rod on bracket.

"These are a snap to use. I purchased two and used them for the thermal liners behind sheer curtains on a 6 foot door opening (about 80 inches wide total). One on the left and one on the right. Both of them resting on the center support bracket. They are not sagging. They do what they are supposed to do and were a less expensive alternative than a double decorative rod from other stores."

"A brilliant idea to hang sheer or lace light weight curtains behind primary curtains. Country Curtains is the only place to find this sort of unique items as far as I know. What was a surprise to see that there is a special pretty plastic bag that the lady at Manhasset store put all three I purchased in it. What a great service! I use these on my 1" rod purchased elsewhere and it worked out great."

"When we first moved into our new home we put up conventional rods for our drapes, then a few years later we decided to add sheers behind the drapes. These Add-A-Rod's are so fantastic. We didn't have to remove the existing rods and put up new ones. We didn't even have to take down the drapes that were already in place. We took the rod out of the box, put the sheers on, slipped the rod over the existing rod, all of which took maybe 20 minutes tops. I love these rods."

"Great idea but will NOT work for heavier than light sheers. I specifically asked if it could support the blackout curtains (with clip rings) & was told it definitely could. But, even without the add-a-rod extended much (didn't use the extension piece), only 1 blackout panel made it sag/bend too much to use. Can't even support somewhat lighter insulated Weaver's Cloth panel. So, my entire window treatment scheme has to be redone. Also, rounded ends don't work well if you have flat rod brackets."
"I used on a 60 inch span and thought they were a bit too flimsy for that width. However, they were easy to install on my existing rod and since they are behind main curtain, they worked out ok. I world not recommend for heavier curtains."
