Q: I want to use these rods to hide a laundry closet. When the two rods are closed, is there a visible gap where the rods meet due to the ball finials? I don't want a separation in the middle of my curtains to expose the washer and dryer.

"These rods function better when not fully extended. When fully extended, the end of the rod droops down."

"I bought 2 sets of the black swing arm curtain rods.. One for the dining room to hide a window air conditioner.. I kept the rods closed in the winter but when summer came I opened the swing arms to let the cool air in. I use the other set in the kitchen to open and close as the sun shines in. I love love love these rods! I have received many compliments on them and Country Curtains is the only place I found that carries these."

"I installed these on each side of a very wide window that I didn't want to use a standard rod on, and they look great and work very well. They've been up for over 10 years and still are the perfect choice."
"The swing arm rod set worked perfectly for us. We have a French door leading to our deck and being able to swing the rod prohibits the curtain from getting caught in the door. And they were easy to install too."
