  • Using a metal tape measure or a wooden yardstick, measure the width of the window area you would like to cover, typically from bracket to bracket.
  • For proper fullness, order valance widths that are approximately one and a half times to double the width of the window area you would like to cover.
  • For even wider windows, choose extra valance(s).

Q: I am interested in the blue for a half bath on first floor. However, need a little privacy, what do you suggest for a tier curtain on the bottom half of the window.? Thank you.

Q: I have a wider window (75" from outside molding) and a shade mounted inside the molding. If I got two valances, would they look silly gathered?

Q: I see the note that the tailored version is "straight line hemmed" but there is a comment that it is "gathered." What does that mean. Can you link to an example (in a different print) so that I can know what I'm buying? Thanks!

Q: In the only example photo, the valance is scalloped. The tailored valance is hemmed in a straight line, correct? It would be nice to see a picture of it hanging.

"When the other reviewer said she hit the jackpot....boy was she right!! I ordered 7 of these for our brand new build home. I LOVE LOVE LOVVVVVE them!! I got them in sage and they are EXACTLY what I wanted and more. The material is such great quality and they are lined with a white material. I wouldn't even hesitate to tell you to purchase these valances. They are going to make our living room and kitchen look amazing. The color is just beautiful...."
"I hit the jackpot when I found these valances. I've been looking a long time for valances to put in my dining room that were the right color and that weren't floral or striped. These were perfect. The sand color has a golden tone to it that goes perfectly with my butternut squash walls and oak woodwork, and the pattern is very classy looking without being too formal or too casual. Love, love, love it."
